Required Operational Communication
Furlyn Farm & Stables requires at least one active operational communication method (email or SMS) in order to maintain an active account.
Operational communications are required for participation in lessons, boarding, camps, and related services.
You must agree to receive at least one of the following:
- Email (required if SMS disabled)
- Operational SMS (required if email disabled)
Operational messages may include:
- Schedule confirmations or changes
- Weather cancellations
- Emergency barn notices
- Billing reminders
- Time-sensitive facility updates
- Lesson confirmations and no-show notifications
- Account or policy updates
These communications are necessary for participation in our programs and services.
Accounts without any enabled operational communication method may be considered inactive and may be unable to book lessons, services, or participate in programs.
SMS Disclosure (Operational)
By providing your mobile phone number and enabling Operational SMS, you agree to receive automated and manual text messages related to your account and scheduled activities.

- Reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS messages.
- Reply HELP for assistance.
Opting out of operational SMS may require you to maintain email as your active communication method to keep your account active.
Promotional SMS (Optional)
Promotional SMS messages are not required for participation in any program or service.
If you opt in, you may receive:
- Camp announcements
- Event invitations
- Show opportunities
- Special programs
- Promotional offers
You may opt out of promotional SMS at any time by replying STOP or by updating your account communication preferences.
Communication Preference Requirements
To maintain an active account with Furlyn Farm & Stables, you must:
- Provide a valid email address and/or mobile phone number
- Maintain at least one active operational communication channel (email or SMS)
You may manage your communication preferences in your account settings.
Email Communications
Operational emails may include scheduling, billing, and program participation updates.
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in those communications. Unsubscribing from operational email communications may require SMS to remain enabled to maintain account activity.
Data Collection & Use
We collect contact information solely for the purpose of:
- Account management
- Scheduling and billing
- Safety and emergency communications
- Program participation
- Customer service
We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
Information may be processed through trusted third-party providers for payment processing, SMS delivery, email services, or secure hosting.
Privacy and Security of Your Information
We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information or conversation content.
Messages and related data are stored and transmitted using encryption (in transit and at rest). Data related to your account is used only for your account and the service; access by staff is limited and logged.
We retain conversations in accordance with our data retention practices and may securely delete data after the retention period.
In-App Messages and Attachments
Our in-app Messages feature allows you to communicate with staff and other participants. Attachments (e.g. images, PDFs) are stored securely; only participants and authorized staff can access them.
Acceptable use: do not send illegal or offensive content. We may remove content and report violations. Do not send highly sensitive data (e.g. full Social Security numbers, payment card numbers) in messages; use the provided secure methods for payments and documents. We will never ask for your password in chat.
File size and type limits apply to attachments; we may scan uploads for security.
Minors
If the account is created for a minor, the parent or legal guardian provides consent for communication and data collection on behalf of the minor. Who may see a minor’s messages is limited to authorized staff and the guardian as appropriate. We do not sell or misuse data related to minors.
Consent
By creating and maintaining an account with Furlyn Farm & Stables, you acknowledge and consent to this Communications & Privacy Policy.
You may update your communication preferences at any time, provided at least one required operational communication method remains enabled.
